Now would you like to know how to make lavender tea so you can start benefiting from all of these great nutrients? Well next I am going to explain to you how you can make hot lavender tea.

Hot Lavender Tea

When I first heard of this I have to say I was sort of thinking “I don’t think this would be good tasting”. However, now that I have read more into it, it sounds amazing. And to be honest I will be trying this very soon. Apparently the lavender bud actually has a very sweet and savory flavor.

Now I also read where people would also add all natural honey and even sometimes a little bit of lemon for just a tiny bit extra flavor. So even if it is not the exact flavor you are looking for there are some way to dress it up some. However, I want to recommend using all natural items this way you still are getting the best  possible nutrients and benefits you can.

Okay so here you how you make

Hot Lavender Tea

  1. You will start off with boiling water. (8oz) Now I am giving you this number so you can get a general idea of the amount of ingredients to mix. But you can always do more or less as you like or need.
  2. After the water reaches boiling, go ahead and pour it into a cup.
  3. Next you will want to take 4tsps. of freshly ground lavender (remember we are using the bud of the flower) and put it in a tea ball or a tea bag holder.
  4. Set this lavender down in the water and let it sit for 10 mins.
  5. Last but not least remove this lavender and sit down and sip away!

See it is a super simple recipe! Plus you can dress it up some if you like. Some ideas would be, mint, fresh cinnamon, lemon, and natural honey. Can you imagine how wonderful this would taste! It is making my mouth water.

But how about if you do not really like hot tea? Well no worries! I have a super simple recipe for making iced lavender tea as well!

Iced Lavender Tea

Personally, I like both hot tea and iced tea so I can see I would enjoy this either way. But I have to say a nice big glass of iced tea on a hot summer’s day is one of the best inventions there could be. And now there are also saying if I add lavender to this I could also be helping myself health wise as well. Yep, I am in what about you? O wait you need the recipe first! Okay here you go.

Iced Lavender Tea

  1. You are going to start this one off the same way but a larger quantity. For this recipe you are going to want to boil a 1/2 gallon of water. (And just like above you can adjust this recipe for your own needs)
  2. Then you want to pour it into a pitcher. (It would be best to use one that will with stand the heat and not melt).
  3. Now for this next part you are going to add the freshly ground up lavender into the water. (You can play with this amount to fit your taste needs).
  4. Next it is best to let it sit for about 15 mins. This way the lavender’s flavors can completely mix in.
  5. And finally you can either leave the lavender in or strain it out. But go ahead pour you a glass add some ice and you have a nice cool refreshing yet healthy drink.

There you have it 2 very easy ways to make some really great sounding lavender tea. Both offer such great benefits.
